At swim two birds - Before you left

A bastard child of Richard Hawley, the dark wit of Aidan Moffat along with the melancholy soundscapes of Tindersticks, At swim two birds is the lessser known Roger Quigley music project (Montgolfier brothers is the more well-known one). During the summer of 2008, I hardly listened to anything else than At swim two birds' excellent, beautiful album Returning to the scene of the crime. I was travelling in Wales & Scotland with a friend. There were moments when none of us felt like talking. I listened to At swim two birds & gazed at the hills. Today I found out there's a new album. It's called Before you left. It might not be a huge departure from the project's earlier releases - but hell, I don't mind.
