WATCH THIS MOVIE! Chungking Express is one of Wong Kar Wai's best films. Wong Kar Wai always manages to match content and form. Here, he does it really, really forcefully. Colors, settings, music, visual style - all employed very nicely. Particularly with the later films, I have experienced Wong Kar Wai's films as being too lyrical. Chungking Express is, in all it's frailty, a slightly goofy and quirky movie.
It really hits a chord with me.
